Ultrasonic Animal Deterrents?

Can anyone else hear them?

Somebody at the end of my road has one, and everytime I walk past it I can hear it.

    When I deliver papers, one person has one and it’s bloody annoying. I just want to kick it.

    Where do you deliver papers? The one that I can hear worst is on the cornet of Slade and Churchill Roads.
